About us

Parry Tree Services is owned and run by myself, Richard Parry, where I have lived in the Chew Valley area for over 40 years and am based in the village of Hinton Blewett.

We employ a small highly trained team within our friendly business , each of whom are committed to providing the best service possible to our clients, be they new to us or those who have kindly continued to choose us for their arboricultural needs.

Having always had a keen interest in nature and the natural landscape, I am extremely passionate about helping to maintain the beautiful surroundings and aspires to incorporate my feelings into the work we undertake.

After I left university with a degree in Geology, I worked for some time as a resident geologist on an oil rig off the Scottish coast until realising that my peace of mind depended on finding an occupation that would be associated with the countryside. Fortunately, I was able to receive 12 year’s wide-ranging, hand’s-on experience with my brother’s company (Green Mantle) a nature conservation contractor, before deciding to specialise in private tree care on my own behalf.

Having gained my NPTC (National Proficiency Tests Council-Forestry & Arboriculture) qualification at Radstock College in 1997, I subsequently formed Parry Tree Services and began to practice on a small scale in the local area. The demand was there, the projects were varied and we are fully confident that as a company, we now have the experience and equipment to tackle the most demanding of jobs.
